Club Bowling Events

The club provides for Members a range of in-club events and the organising of these is the responsibility of the Competitions Secretary.

The events for this season are shown below, with dates shown in the Club Handbook & also on the Club Calendar. Entry sheets will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard in due course.

Red, White & Blue Event
This event requires bowlers to dress in something red, white, or blue, or preferably a combination of the three colours.

Australian Pairs
This is similar to regular pairs competitions but with some differences.
Each player will bowl 4 woods.
The first player leads and delivers two woods, the players then exchange ends, and the second player then delivers their four woods.
Ends are then exchanged again and the remaining two woods are delivered by the first player.
For the next end the roles are reversed.

Roger Mann Trophy
This event runs as an all-day triples competition.

Ladies v Gents
This event runs in the afternoon consisting of teams of triples.

Inter League Competition
A Club match between the five G&F Colour Squads (Red, Green, White, Amber & Blue) consisting of 3 teams of Mixed Triples.
A handicap system applies.

President's Charity Day
This event consists of teams of Mixed Triples held in support of the President's Fund/Charity chosen this year.

President's v Captain's
This event runs in the afternoon consisting of teams of Mixed Triples or Rinks (dependent upon numbers)
